The Places Prayer Can Take You

Prayer is direct access to God. It is amazing and exciting that we can communicate directly with our Creator. But how does that work? How does God hear every one’s prayers? It is difficult for us to wrap our minds around the vast omnipotence of God. His greatness is beyond our understanding. However, science has helped us in certain areas to understand some of these questions.

The Word tells us that God was not created but has existed from eternity past to eternity future and suggests that God created time and was acting before time began. Albert Einstein stated that there are at least four dimensions and the fourth dimension is time/space. We cannot see beyond our three spatial dimensions in which we live. Rich Deem writes in his article, The Extradimensional Nature of God, that both the Bible and science attest that God exists and operates in dimensions other than our own. In modern physics, theories about the existence of up to 11 dimensions have been suggested. God must be able to operate in all of those in order to have created the universe. Hebrew 11:3 tells us that God created the universe, out of some of the dimensions of space and time, which are not visible to us.

A God that only exists in our three dimensional world would not be able to hear all of our prayers, as he could not be everywhere at once. Neither could he perform all the miracles of the Bible, because a three dimensional planet would not allow for these miracles. There are passages in the Bible that allude to higher dimensions. William Anthony Granville, author of The Fourth Dimension and the Bible, relates the story in Genesis 5:24 and Hebrews 11:5 describing Enoch walking with God and then disappearing because God took him. Jesus inexplicably escapes from threatening multitudes twice as described in John 8:59 and 10:39. Granville says, “it seems logical that Jesus used the fourth dimension to elude his captors.” Other examples of appearances which can be explained by use of the Fourth Dimensions are when Jesus entered the room of the disciples without using a door as found in John 20:19-23, 26-29. Walking through a wall is only possible in the fourth dimension. The existence of higher dimensions clearly explains these powers that our God performs.

Prayer transcends unseen dimensions and travels through the universes to our creator. When we imagine healing and pray, those prayers may travel through the dimensions of time and already become reality. Prayer can take you from sickness to health including both physical and spiritual health. It can bring you joy and protect you through the valleys of your life. Prayer will give you guidance to carry out your life’s dreams and can stimulate your imagination to accomplish your dreams. We find it difficult to comprehend the connection between God, the things of this world and the spiritual dimensions. Prayer can show how our spiritual energy connects with God to produce action from his spiritual dimension.

This is something I’ve always pondered myself. How is that God can here millions of people all praying to him at the safe time? You’ve pointed out the fact that we think in our own, three dimensional minds. Which would make it impossible for us to comprehend. It is so interesting to see evidence of this further dimension in scripture. It’s discussed heavily that God is omniscient, but it is so great to read more about “how” his omnipresence may work. God may operate in 11 dimensions, which clearly explains why we, as three dimensional beings, would have such a hard time understanding the true vastness of our creator. Very interesting read, looking forward to reading more!
