The Power of Passionate Prayer

Prayer is an intimate conversation with God. A time when we pour out our hearts in gratitude for his love in our life and a time we are still and listen to his words written on our hearts. I don’t believe God wants us to recite words from our mind but to pray to him with passion from our hearts. When we feel deeply about our prayer, feel it in our hearts, it is possible that reality will mirror what we are feeling. How many times do we pray with eloquent words that are from our mind and do not have earnest feelings or passion as we pray. We must remember the power of our emotions and not live only in our heads. Learn to see our intuitive skills. Have we replaced wisdom with knowledge and knowledge with data? Never underestimate the power of a passionate prayer cried out from the heart. It is God who gets things done on earth and accomplishes his will in our lives. We discover our purpose in this life through our heart-felt prayers.

When we pray from our heart in accordance with God’s loving will, we receive a powerful response from God.

When you pray, don’t babble on and on as people of other religions do. They think their prayers are answered by repeating their words again and again.” Matthew 6:7 NLT

“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13 NIV
